One person died and eight others were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck began driving erratically and struck several vehicles, including a U-Haul, on Saturday afternoon, Haverford Township police said.
The crash happened at around 12:15 p.m. in the area of North Eagle Road and West Chester Pike in Havertown, Delaware County, police said, after a pickup truck began driving erratically.
The pickup truck ultimately crashed into several vehicles, including a U-Haul truck. In all, 14 cars were involved in the crash, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, and it is believed that he may have began driving erratically because he had a medical emergency, police said.
Surveillance video provided to NBC10 through our news partners KYW News Radio showed the pickup truck spin out of control on the roadway.

The roadway has since been cleared and reopened, police said.
The conditions of the eight people taken to the hospital have not been released.
