INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A unique blend of comedy and connection is coming to Fountain Square next week.
Find Fun Indy is hosting a singles comedy show Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the White Rabbit Cabaret in partnership with improv performers from Crossroads Comedy.
“This is a comedy show and singles social,” said Bo Turner, founder of Find Fun Indy. “We’re going to have improv performers perform for the first hour, and then the last hour is like an open singles mixer.”
The evening begins with audience participation. Attendees will write down their most memorable dating confessions and place them in a bucket.
Crossroads Comedy performers Will and Ana will then draw the confessions and turn the stories into spontaneous improv skits.
“We ask audience members to write down a dating confession, put it in a bucket,” Turner said. “Then the performers pull one out and do a skit on it.”
The format gives performers a chance to turn real-life dating experiences into comedy, with each skit created on the spot.
After the comedy portion, the event will transition into an open singles mixer, giving attendees an opportunity to meet and connect with other singles.
