CareSource Nevada, the only statewide nonprofit Medicaid Managed Care Organization, is connecting with residents through a series of community events in October and November. CareSource’s Community Marketing Representatives and Rural Health Liaisons will be on hand at select events to answer questions, share health information and connect Nevadans with local resources and support as Nevada’s Medicaid Open Enrollment Period begins November 1.
With a focus on reaching residents where they live, work and access care, CareSource Nevada is ramping up its participation in health fairs, town halls, food distributions and other community gatherings throughout the state, including rural and frontier Nevada. These events provide opportunities to build relationships, better understand local needs, and help residents navigate available healthcare and community resources.
“We know that navigating health coverage can sometimes feel overwhelming, and that’s why it’s so important for us to be out in the communities we serve,” said Taylor Thompson, Director of Strategic Partnerships at CareSource Nevada. “As we approach Medicaid Open Enrollment on November 1, our team looks forward to meeting Nevadans, answering questions and connecting them with helpful health and community resources. We want people to know we’re here to help.”
