Inspectors with the FDA say that they have found the cyclospora parasite at a lettuce farm in Guanajuato, Mexico. It's unclear if this was the same independent grower that Taylor Farms blamed for being the source of the multi-state outbreak of cyclosporiasis that has affected at least 13,000 people. [KTVU]
A top executive at HomeRise, the SF homelessness nonprofit that announced it is shutting down this week, reportedly fired a contractor in order to direct funds to a new company to which he had close ties.
