Walmart told NBC10 it is looking into a viral video on social media that appeared to show mouse droppings on candy boxes and shelves in the Somerdale, Camden County, store.
The video and images, posted by @queen_sugar_ on Tuesday, appear to show mouse droppings on a shelf, on a box for candy bags and inside the box.
The woman in who posted the video also said that she initially grabbed two bags without realizing the mouse droppings and got the excrement on her hands.
“I felt all this stuff, like, in my hand with the bag, and I’m like, ‘What the heck is this?'” She said. “I started feeling like these little rocks in my hand. Child, it was mice poop. Not a little bit, but a lot of it.”
The woman said she told store employees at the time, and in a statement to NBC10, a spokesperson said, “We’re aware of the video and looking into it.”
